This 1 day advanced course is designed to teach students the art and science of perfumery, with a focus on the creation of 100% natural fragrances. Participants will learn about the various components of natural perfumes, fragrance classifications, and professional techniques for creating and blending scents using professional equipment. With the guidance of a French artisan perfumer, participants will have the opportunity to develop their own fine fragrance and explore their creative potential in the world of perfumery. You will also receive a set of comprehensive handouts, including a Perfumery 101 eBook, fragrance formulations to continue your learning, resources to buy materials, and a formulation spreadsheet should you want to take things further. Although we will be working with naturals only on the day, I will talk a bit about the role of synthetic materials and have some on hand to smell if you wish.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided on the day.
This 1 day course is limited to 6 people. The small group size guarantees lots of 1 to 1 help.
